There are many regions in the world where many ancient civilizations have existed. However, there are beydin (small, few (house)) places like Bay al-Maqdis that still preserves its sanctity for different beliefs. Therefore, the sanctity of the region is not a new phenomenon but dates back to the non-Abrahamic religions of the world. Since the sanctity of the region was shared by non-Abrahamic religions even before the Canaanites, the region has had rare times of peace and tranquility.
