Therefore, in order to limit greenhouse gas emissions, the production of ecological and sustainable products is vital. The embodied carbon value of a product represents the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere during the production of that product. In other words, the embodied carbon value is the carbon footprint of that material.
